Allergan Aesthetics reaffirms commitment to empowering girls through STEM mentorship and education initiatives

Allergan Aesthetics, an AbbVie company, announced the continuation of its long-standing partnership with Girls Inc. for the seventh consecutive year, alongside SkinSpirit, to advance mentorship, education, and career exploration opportunities for young women in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics).

The collaboration underscores Allergan Aesthetics’ commitment to fostering confidence and providing access to opportunities that inspire girls to pursue careers in science and technology.

“At Allergan Aesthetics, we are proud to continue our work with Girls Inc. to create meaningful opportunities for young women to see themselves in STEM,” said Nicole Mowad-Nassar, President, Global Allergan Aesthetics and Senior Vice President, AbbVie. “With women currently holding only 18 per cent of STEM jobs in the U.S., we aim to empower girls through mentorship and community support, ensuring they have the confidence and resources to succeed.”

While 55 per cent of girls express interest in STEM careers, barriers such as limited mentorship and access to resources continue to hinder participation. To help bridge this gap, Allergan Aesthetics and SkinSpirit are leading two impactful initiatives: the Allergan Medical Institute (AMI) Atlanta Training Center Experience and the SkinSpirit Gives Campaign.

The AMI Atlanta Training Center Experience will welcome Girls Inc. of Atlanta participants for an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the newly opened AMI Training Center. The visit will feature a private panel discussion with local women healthcare providers who will share their career journeys and insights into navigating professional opportunities in STEM-related fields.

AMI is dedicated to elevating the science and art of aesthetics through high-impact educational programs designed to advance the skills and expertise of aesthetic providers worldwide.

Meanwhile, through the SkinSpirit Gives Campaign, SkinSpirit—the leading destination for medical aesthetics and skincare—will once again join forces with Allergan Aesthetics and Girls Inc. to encourage clients to contribute directly to STEM-focused programs. From November 1 to November 15, clients will have the opportunity to donate to Girls Inc., supporting mentorship, education, and career exploration programs that benefit more than 120,000 girls across 75 affiliates in the U.S. and Canada.

“Having started my career in the tech world, I’ve seen firsthand how transformative opportunities in STEM can be for women,” said Lynn Heublein, CEO and Co-founder of SkinSpirit. “Partnering with Girls Inc. to champion mentorship, education, and career exploration in these fields is deeply meaningful. It’s about unlocking possibilities many young women may have never imagined.”
