Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient (API) manufacturer NGL Fine-Chem Limited has successfully commenced commercial production at Phase II of its Greenfield facility on September 24, 2026. This milestone marks the completion of the greenfield expansion project, representing a total capital investment of approximately ₹222 crore up to the launch date.

The company had earlier intimated that Phase I of the Greenfield facility commenced commercial production with effect from March 11, 2025. The facility has been developed and operationalised in phases with the objective of augmenting the company's manufacturing infrastructure and enabling it to meet the requirements of its diverse product portfolio.

The company manufactures a wide variety of active pharmaceutical ingredients, each having different manufacturing processes, batch sizes, cycle times, yields, equipment requirements and production characteristics. Accordingly, the aggregate installed capacity cannot be meaningfully expressed as a single uniform quantity, such as tonnes per annum, since the actual production capacity varies depending on the product mix and the type of API manufactured.
