Biocon Foundation has been steadfast in its mission to empower underserved communities through innovative healthcare solutions, education, and sustainable development initiatives


Biocon Foundation, the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) arm of Biocon Group, marked two decades of commitment to social impact and community development. To commemorate this significant milestone, the Foundation hosted a special ceremony at its Biocon Park focused on celebrating ‘20 Years of LIGHT – Leading Inclusive Growth of Communities with a Human Touch’. The event celebrated the Foundation’s contributions over the years while reaffirming its dedication to building healthier, more empowered communities.

Since its inception in 2004, the Foundation has been dedicated to driving meaningful change in the areas of healthcare, education, environment, rural development, infrastructure development, and environmental sustainability, positively impacting 2.8 million lives across India. The milestone serves as an opportunity to reflect on the Foundation’s journey and chart the path forward for greater social transformation.

The event was graced by Dr C.N. Manjunath, Bengaluru Rural MP and a distinguished cardiologist and former Director of Sri Jayadeva Institute of Cardiology Cardiovascular Sciences and Research as the chief guest. Kiran Mazumdar-Shaw, Chairperson, Biocon Group, Dr Anupama Shetty, Mission Director, Biocon Foundation, Peter Bains, Group CEO, Biocon, Shreehas Tambe, CEO & MD, Biocon Biologics, Naveen Narayanan, Global Head of HR, Biocon Biologics, Maninder Kapoor Puri, Head of HR, Biocon, and Pramuch Goel, Head of Corporate Affairs, Syngene along with other dignitaries, beneficiaries, stakeholders, Biocon Group’s leadership team, and employees, were also present to mark the occasion.
