InnoCell is the brand name for Mitsui Chemicals’ cell culture products and services
Mitsui Chemicals has announced the launch of its innovative InnoCell cell culture microplates this July. These advanced microplates feature exceptional oxygen permeability and are the result of combining Mitsui Chemicals’ proprietary materials with cutting-edge precision cutting technologies.
InnoCell is the brand name for Mitsui Chemicals’ cell culture products and services, reflecting the company’s commitment to “innovations in cell culture.” By harnessing the capabilities of its proprietary chemical technologies, Mitsui Chemicals aims to provide advanced solutions that support drug discovery. With this new product launch, the company will offer non-treated “N-type” cell culture microplates designed for culturing non-adherent cells, organoids, and spheroids, as well as collagen-coated “C-type” plates optimized for culturing hepatocytes and other cell types commonly used in pharmaceutical assays.
The InnoCell plate series provides optimal oxygen supply to cultured cells and tissues, enabling healthier and longer-lasting cell cultures while reducing cell death within 3D spheroids. This enhanced oxygen permeability is expected to improve the accuracy and predictive power of in vitro assays used in pharmaceutical development.
Recently, InnoCell plates demonstrated an ability to enhance the in vitro proliferation of organoids derived from pancreatic cancer patients—a challenge that has proven difficult until now—highlighting their potential to accelerate the delivery of personalized medicine for cancer treatment.
