Savillex has completed its acquisition of Entegris’ Life Sciences Fluid Management business, strengthening its bioprocessing capabilities and expanding its portfolio of high-purity, single-use solutions for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
The deal brings Savillex a range of technologies used across drug discovery, clinical development and commercial manufacturing, including Aramus and polyethylene (PE) bags, single-use assemblies and fluid management components.
The acquisition also adds an experienced team with established expertise in high-purity fluid handling, positioning Savillex to broaden its support for customers across the drug development and manufacturing pipeline. The expanded portfolio is expected to help manufacturers manage increasingly complex bioprocessing workflows and meet evolving production demands.
"The Life Sciences Fluid Management business has built a strong reputation in high-purity single-use bioprocessing, and the Aramus product line is a natural fit alongside our Savillex, Containment and Bioprocessing offerings," said Eric Giesing, Chief Executive Officer of Savillex.
"This acquisition expands our portfolio and enables us to deliver an even broader range of innovative solutions to biopharmaceutical and pharmaceutical customers. We are excited to welcome the talented team behind this business and to continue investing in technologies that help our customers accelerate the development and production of critical therapies."
Chris Bedi, General Manager Fluid Management at Savillex, said the acquisition would expand the company's ability to serve pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical customers worldwide with a broader range of fluid management technologies.
"This acquisition creates an exciting opportunity to bring a broader portfolio of high-value fluid management solutions to pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical customers worldwide," said Chris Bedi, General Manager Fluid Management at Savillex.
"The Fluid Management portfolio complements Savillex's existing capabilities and together, we will continue to provide innovative solutions while expanding our ability to support partners across the continuum of drug development. We are excited by the opportunity to help our customers bring transformative new medicines to patients around the world."
The acquisition marks another step in Savillex's strategy to strengthen its position in the life sciences market through portfolio expansion, innovation and customer partnerships. The company said it would continue investing in quality and technologies designed to address the changing needs of pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical manufacturers.
