Valneva will consolidate its French operations at its Lyon site and close its Nantes location
Speciality vaccine maker Valneva has announced a strategic initiative to optimize its organizational footprint in France, part of the company’s ongoing efforts to “increase operational effectiveness and position Valneva for long-term success.”
As part of the plan, Valneva will consolidate its French operations at its Lyon site and close its Nantes location, which currently hosts operational functions and certain pre-clinical R&D activities. The company said this move will “streamline operations and improve efficiency in France,” while centralizing all R&D activities at its Vienna site.
Valneva also plans to relocate its registered office back to Lyon, where it was originally established, and will maintain its listing on Euronext Paris. The company highlighted Lyon’s international reputation as a leading vaccine hub, home to major players including Sanofi Vaccins and the Mérieux group, calling it “an ideal location for Valneva to concentrate its French operations.”
