The expansion includes a larger technical and service team and increased local procurement

German process technology specialist ystral is ramping up its presence in India with the launch of a new facility in Bangalore. This signals a major step in its long-term commitment to the Indian and Southeast Asian markets.

The expansion includes a larger technical and service team and increased local procurement.

For decades, ystral has been a global leader in high-performance mixing, dispersing, and powder-wetting machines, as well as turnkey process systems for the chemical, pharmaceutical, coatings, food, home and personal care, and battery production industries. Since 2013, the company has operated in India through its wholly owned subsidiary.

The new Bangalore facility will expand the Indian team from nine to fifteen specialists, covering process engineering, electrical engineering, software development, sales, and service.

“This move reflects our continued commitment to enhancing operational efficiency and delivering world-class service to our customers,” said Srirangarajan Santhanam, Director of ystral india. “Our new premises are equipped with advanced infrastructure and tools that meet the standards of our German headquarters, ensuring we continue to provide innovative, reliable and technically sophisticated solutions.”

As part of its growth strategy, ystral plans to increase the proportion of components manufactured in India while continuing production of key high-precision parts in Germany.

“Through increased localisation, we are confident that we will remain highly competitive in the dynamic Indian market. Local sourcing enables us to reduce lead times, offer delivery in INR, and accelerate project execution – speed being a decisive success factor in India,” said Dominik Seeger, Senior Vice President Sales at ystral.

India is currently ystral’s fastest-growing market globally. The Bangalore site is expected to become a regional service hub for neighboring Asian markets and complement operations in China and Singapore with additional service responsibilities. The facility will also contribute software development services to ystral’s global headquarters in Germany.

With this expansion, ystral reinforces its commitment to India as a core market and positions itself to meet rising demand for advanced mixing and process technologies across Asia.
