Dr. Vikas Gupta has been appointed as Managing Director & Chief Executive Officer of Novartis India Limited, bringing over 20 years of leadership experience in the pharmaceutical industry.

A seasoned pharmaceutical leader, Dr. Gupta is passionate about driving large-scale business transformation through cultural revitalization, strategic planning, and disciplined execution.
Prior to joining Novartis India Limited, Dr. Gupta held leadership positions at Alkem Laboratories, Cipla, Glenmark Pharmaceuticals, and Ranbaxy Laboratories, where he built extensive expertise in business leadership, commercial strategy, sales, and marketing across multiple therapeutic areas.
He began his career at GTB Hospital, providing him with a strong clinical foundation that has shaped his approach to healthcare leadership
