Veteran quality professional with over 20 years of industry experience to lead quality operations at Unit-4 API manufacturing facility
Granules India Limited has elevated Ananda Babu Doppalapudi to the position of General Manager and Head Quality – Unit-4, strengthening its leadership team at the company's active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) manufacturing facility in Visakhapatnam.
In his new role, Doppalapudi will oversee quality operations at the Unit-4 facility, with a focus on maintaining regulatory compliance, strengthening quality systems, and driving manufacturing excellence.
A pharmaceutical quality professional with more than two decades of experience, Doppalapudi has built extensive expertise across quality assurance, quality control, regulatory compliance, data integrity, validation, and quality management systems.
His career spans several leading pharmaceutical companies, where he has played a key role in establishing robust quality frameworks and ensuring adherence to global regulatory standards.
Before his elevation, he served as Deputy General Manager and Head Quality at Granules India. Over the years, he has held leadership positions at major pharmaceutical organizations including Biocon, MSN Laboratories, Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, Alkem Laboratories, Cipla, and Aurobindo Pharma.
His experience includes managing regulatory inspections, implementing quality improvement initiatives, driving compliance programs, and supporting operational excellence across pharmaceutical manufacturing operations.
The appointment reflects Granules India's continued focus on strengthening quality leadership as the company expands its manufacturing capabilities and enhances compliance with global regulatory requirements.
With his deep industry knowledge and proven track record in quality management, Doppalapudi is expected to play a key role in further advancing quality standards and operational performance at the company's API business.
