Time to combine innovation, access and technology to deliver positive patient outcomes


Bombay Management Association (BMA), one of India’s leading management and leadership association, along with Bharat Serums and Vaccines Limited (BSV), one of India’s leading biopharmaceutical companies, organised the Healthcare and Lifesciences Summit 2023 in Mumbai, yesterday.

Themed on Building a sustainable healthcare and life sciences industry, the Summit witnessed industry experts deliberate on probable solutions towards building a Swastha Aatmanirbhar Bharat. Leaders of the industry discussed on the need to drive innovation and expand access to healthcare in India. The Summit recognized Sudarshan Jain, Secretary General, Indian Pharmaceutical Alliance and Prashant Tewari, Managing Director USV Ltd with the Lifetime Achievement Awards for their invaluable service to the industry and relentless service to patients in India.

Speaking at the Summit, Rajesh Sharma, Presiden, BMA said, “Our first and focused Lifesciences and Healthcare Summit comes at a time when health is the central agenda of India’s G20 Presidency. Building a sustainable healthcare and life sciences industry calls for long-term measures to build a stronger and more resilient future-responsive health system. Focus on biopharma innovation and research as well as expanding access and availability of innovative treatments and cures while deploying digital and technological interventions, remains the key in creating a sustainable healthcare ecosystem in the country.”
