The new outpatient-focused clinic is designed to address voice, airway and swallowing disorders through advanced diagnostics
Fortis Hospital Bannerghatta Road launched the SWARA Clinic – Swallow, Airway & Advanced Voice Care Center in Bengaluru on World Voice Day, expanding its specialised ENT and airway care services with an integrated, multidisciplinary model for patients across age groups.
The new outpatient-focused clinic is designed to address voice, airway and swallowing disorders through advanced diagnostics such as laryngoscopy with Narrow Band Imaging (NBI), stroboscopy, bronchoscopy and functional endoscopic evaluation of swallowing (FEES). The centre was inaugurated by Archana Udupa.
SWARA Clinic will focus on three major clinical areas: voice disorders, including hoarseness and reduced vocal output; airway disorders, such as breathing difficulties, post-ventilation complications and tracheostomy-related issues; and swallowing disorders, including cases linked to stroke and neurological conditions.
According to Dr. Susheen Dutt, early diagnosis remains critical as voice, breathing and swallowing disorders are often under-recognised despite their significant impact on daily quality of life. The clinic aims to improve access to specialised care by combining clinical expertise with advanced OPD-based technologies.
Dr. Manjunath MK said the centre has been designed as a one-stop setup for complex airway and swallowing conditions, enabling stepwise interventions, specialised procedures and close follow-up under one roof to improve coordination and outcomes.
