HOSMAC, a hospital planning, design, and management consultancy firm, has successfully supported the design and execution of the first phase of the 1,200-bed Tapanbhai Patel Memorial Hospital in Shirpur, Maharashtra.

The project was inaugurated by Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, and is expected to become one of the region’s largest healthcare infrastructure developments. The hospital is being developed under Shri Vile Parle Kelavani Mandal (SVKM) with the objective of improving access to advanced healthcare services in underserved areas.

Spanning approximately 7 lakh sq. ft., the facility is designed to reduce dependence on metro cities for specialised treatment. Once fully operational, the hospital is expected to cater not only to Shirpur but also to neighbouring regions including Indore and Nashik.

HOSMAC served as the principal healthcare planning and project management consultant for the project, overseeing schematic space planning, MEP design, medical equipment planning, procurement support, and project management consulting.

The company coordinated with multiple stakeholders to ensure timely execution of civil works, interiors, and building systems while maintaining quality and operational readiness standards.

Speaking on the development, Vivek Desai, Founder and Managing Director of HOSMAC, said, “This project reflects our commitment to building healthcare infrastructure that improves access and supports communities at scale. The Shirpur facility shows how the right planning and execution can bring high-quality care closer to where it is needed most.”

The hospital initiative has been led by Amrish Patel, President of SVKM and former Education Minister of Maharashtra, along with Bhupesh Patel, whose leadership played a significant role in driving the project.
