Medulance, a technology-enabled emergency healthcare and pre-hospital response company, has raised Rs. 24 crore in a Series A-2 funding round led by Auxano, Alkemi, Equentis and other angel investors.
The company will use the fresh capital to expand its emergency response infrastructure across India, strengthen its enterprise and hospital businesses, and invest further in its proprietary technology platform and connected ambulance capabilities.
Medulance currently operates a network of more than 15,000 ambulances across 500-plus cities, covering over 8 million lives and handling approximately 5,000 calls daily.
The company aims to build a more integrated emergency care ecosystem combining trained medical responders, technology-enabled dispatch, real-time clinical visibility and coordination with hospitals.
“Emergency healthcare is ultimately about ensuring that help is available when it matters the most,” said Pranav Bajaj, Co-founder and CEO, Medulance.
“The opportunity ahead is to make this infrastructure more connected, more reliable and increasingly technology-led. Along the way, we have also learnt from what we could have done better, reinforcing our focus on building a high-value, profitable business. Medulance has come a long way, but in terms of what it can become, we are still only 1% done,” added Bajaj.
Brijesh Damodaran, Managing Partner, Auxano Capital, said Medulance has demonstrated that emergency healthcare can be developed as a scalable, technology-led business while addressing a critical infrastructure gap. He added that the company's network density and institutional relationships position it to further strengthen its model through technology and scale.
Medulance has also developed 5G-enabled smart ambulances capable of transmitting real-time patient telemetry to hospital dashboards, supporting CCTV-enabled visual triage and enabling live clinical oversight. The technology is designed to provide hospitals and medical teams with greater visibility into a patient's condition before arrival.
