Bhunje brings more than two decades of experience in pharmaceutical and API manufacturing. He has built extensive expertise in managing large-scale manufacturing operations, plant management, production planning, process optimization, project execution, and regulatory compliance.

In his new role, he will be responsible for overseeing the company's active pharmaceutical ingredient (API) manufacturing operations, driving operational excellence, and supporting business growth through efficient production, quality, and environment, health and safety (EHS) practices across manufacturing facilities.

Prior to joining Intas Pharmaceuticals, he served as Vice President at Alkem Laboratories. Earlier, he held senior leadership positions at Sun Pharma and Unimark Remedies, where he played a key role in strengthening manufacturing capabilities and operational performance.

Throughout his career, Bhunje has led complex API operations and manufacturing projects while ensuring compliance with stringent global regulatory standards, including those of the US Food and Drug Administration (US FDA) and European regulatory authorities.

His appointment is expected to further strengthen Intas Pharmaceuticals' API manufacturing capabilities as the company continues to focus on operational efficiency, quality excellence, and sustainable growth in domestic and international markets.
