The pandemic has taught us that health is not the exclusive responsibility of only the Union Health Ministry but jointly addressed by various Ministries at the centre and through state governments
The total budget of Rs. 3119.46 crores has been allocated/ released as a central share to States/UTs since the inception of the scheme and they have reported an expenditure of Rs. 2290.20 crores.

States were also strongly advised to strictly monitor epidemiological profile of admitted COVID patients
Increased and timely testing will enable early identification of COVID cases and help to curb spread of the infection among the community
Focussed campaigns for old age homes, schools/colleges, prisons, brick kilns to be taken up by States/UTs
