Wacker Biotech, the CDMO player, has entered into a strategic collaboration with Eclipse Bioinnovations, a leader in sequencing-based analytics, a move that aims to shorten the path from early research to clinical development for next-generation RNA therapeutics.
The partnership combines Eclipsebio’s AI-optimized RNA design and sequencing-based validation capabilities with Wacker Biotech’s large-scale, GMP-compliant manufacturing platform for nucleic acid-based therapies.
The companies say the collaboration will strengthen support for RNA therapeutic developers by connecting early-stage RNA design with downstream manufacturing in a more integrated development pathway.
Eclipsebio’s platform is designed to optimize RNA for both manufacturability and efficacy, with a focus on yield, integrity, purity, stability and protein expression. Wacker Biotech provides capabilities across the RNA therapeutic value chain, from plasmid DNA and in vitro transcription (IVT) for GMP-compliant RNA through formulation in lipid nanoparticles (LNPs) that meet regulatory requirements.
Together, the companies aim to give drug developers expanded access to RNA that is optimized for manufacturing and ready to advance toward clinical development.

The collaboration builds on an existing relationship between the companies and adds Eclipsebio’s RNA design services to Wacker Biotech’s newly launched contract research services (CRS), creating additional support for early-stage clients.
