Zuellig Pharma launches advanced clinical trial facility in South Korea

  • By IPP Bureau | December 04, 2025

Zuellig Pharma has inaugurated its new 3,800m² Clinical Trial Support (CTS) Innovation Center in South Korea, designed to support both domestic and global clinical research. Located near the Gyeongbu Expressway in Gyeonggi-do province, the state-of-the-art facility serves as a hub for clinical logistics and sourcing, integrating digitalisation and automation to enhance operational reliability and scalability while maintaining stringent Good Practice (GxP) compliance.

The facility features a fully automated order fulfilment system to accelerate and improve the accuracy of clinical supply delivery. Its scalable infrastructure ensures uninterrupted operations, supported by robust cybersecurity measures to safeguard sensitive trial data. The center provides comprehensive temperature-zone support, managing clinical trial stock-keeping units (SKUs) under deep frozen, frozen, cold, ambient, return storage, and cryogenic conditions. Specialized repackaging infrastructure ensures controlled environments for frozen, cold, ambient, and amber light conditions, meeting all regulatory and clinical standards.

An integrated end-to-end monitoring and tracking system provides full traceability and chain-of-custody, reinforcing adherence to GxP requirements. Over the past year, the facility has supported more than 3,000 cumulative trials with over 100 clients, managing 13,000 outbound shipments annually.

John Graham, CEO of Zuellig Pharma, said, “This milestone underscores our commitment to remaining agile and responsive to the evolving clinical trial landscape. It reflects our dedication to advancing healthcare through innovation and sustainable infrastructure, enabling greater access to treatments and delivering meaningful outcomes for the partners and communities we serve.”
