Built on Snowflake Cortex AI, the agent enables representatives to generate comprehensive pre-call plans through a single conversational interface
Global biopharma company Sanofi has launched "Concierge for Field," a new AI-powered agent designed to help its sales representatives prepare for physician and healthcare provider visits.
Announced at Snowflake Summit 2026, the agent has been built using Snowflake Cortex AI and enables representatives to generate comprehensive pre-call plans through a single conversational interface.
The system identifies high-priority physicians based on specialty and prescribing history, summarizes previous engagements, and can automatically email the visit plan to the representative, reducing preparation time from hours to seconds.
The launch is part of a broader initiative by Sanofi to deploy AI agents across multiple functions, including research and development, procurement, information technology, human resources, manufacturing, and field sales. The company says the move reflects its ambition to become an AI-powered biopharma organization.
Sanofi's AI journey accelerated after it unified its enterprise data on Snowflake and partnered with Elementum, enabling AI workflows to run directly on the Snowflake platform.
The same data infrastructure is also supporting Sanofi's research teams in processing real-world clinical data at scale, helping speed analyses that inform drug development decisions.
"For years, we have been building complex pipelines to move data in and out of expensive software, just to access our own data," said Emmanuel Frenehard, Chief Digital Officer, Sanofi.
“With Snowflake and Elementum, we saw a clear path forward. We are building AI directly on our data and reinventing how the company runs, from R&D to manufacturing to commercial. This is how Sanofi becomes the first biopharma powered by AI at scale,” said Frenehard.
Sridhar Ramaswamy, CEO of Snowflake, said, “Sanofi is showing what becomes possible when AI is built directly on top of trusted enterprise data.”
“Instead of layering AI onto fragmented legacy systems, they are using Snowflake as the foundation for a unified, agentic enterprise, connecting research, manufacturing, and commercial operations on a single AI-ready platform,” said Ramaswamy.
