Investment of Rs 235 crores to add 411 beds in the next 18 months
Aster DM Healthcare, one of the largest private healthcare service providers operating in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), states and have a significant presence in India has lined up investment plans to expand its presence in India.
It will invest approximately Rs 235 crore to add 411 beds in the country in the next 18 months, This was stated by the Chairman and MD Azad Moopen.
The company also plans to increase the number of labs in operation and also expand the pharmacy distribution across India.
Aster DM Healthcare has 14 hospitals and nine clinics in India. It has five labs in India and 12 experience centres and is aiming to open 21 labs and 200 experience centres by the end of FY22.
At present, there are 23 franchise pharmacies and the number is estimated to reach 130 by the end of FY22
The company’s net profit stood at Rs 44.47 crores for the quarter ended June 30, 2021. It incurred a loss of Rs 82.93 crores for the corresponding fiscal last year.
The company has reported a total income of Rs.2379.63 crores during the period ended June 30 2021.
