US-based biopharmaceutical solutions company Syneos Health has launched a new Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Hyderabad, strengthening its India operations and positioning the city as a strategic hub for artificial intelligence, data and technology-led healthcare innovation.

Located at Phoenix Equinox in Gachibowli, the new facility is Syneos Health’s largest centre in Asia and third-largest globally. The hub brings together expertise spanning clinical development, patient safety, medical affairs and commercialisation with capabilities in artificial intelligence, data engineering and advanced technology.

The company is positioning the Hyderabad centre as a dedicated AI and technology hub focused on developing and deploying production-ready AI solutions within real-world healthcare and biopharmaceutical workflows.

According to Syneos Health, the Hyderabad AI Hub is designed to support its biopharma customers across the drug-development lifecycle, with applications ranging from AI-driven clinical protocol design and predictive site selection to pharmacovigilance automation, signal detection and medical review.

The centre will combine scientific and biopharmaceutical expertise with modern engineering capabilities to develop AI solutions for regulated and high-stakes healthcare environments.

Its technology portfolio includes AI-assisted clinical protocol design, predictive analytics for clinical-trial site selection and intelligent assistants designed to help teams anticipate potential challenges. In pharmacovigilance and patient safety, the hub is working with natural language processing and large language models to accelerate case processing, signal detection and medical review.

The Hyderabad team is also developing generative AI applications, including retrieval-augmented systems and domain-specific AI agents that can support decision-making across clinical and commercial workflows.

 The company expects the new hub to serve both as a strategic delivery centre for its global customers and as a platform to attract and develop specialised AI talent.
