Fortis Escorts Hospital, Faridabad, has launched the Fortis Cancer Institute, the Institute of Neurosciences, and the Centre of Excellence in Critical Care & ECMO under its 'Future of Surgery' initiative, expanding its capabilities to address the growing burden of non-communicable diseases through advanced, multidisciplinary care.

Anchored around three high-impact specialties, the initiative integrates advanced technology, specialist expertise and coordinated clinical pathways on a single platform, with the aim of improving access to complex tertiary care and enhancing patient outcomes across the region.

The Fortis Cancer Institute offers comprehensive cancer care spanning medical and surgical oncology, organ-specific cancer programmes, advanced diagnostics and precision-led treatment protocols.

Each patient's treatment plan is developed by a multidisciplinary tumour board to ensure personalised and evidence-based care.

The Institute of Neurosciences provides specialised treatment for a broad range of neurological conditions, including stroke, epilepsy, brain and spine disorders, complex tumours, Parkinson's disease and other neurodegenerative disorders.

The Centre of Excellence in Critical Care & ECMO has been established to manage patients with severe cardiac and respiratory failure, multi-organ dysfunction and other life-threatening critical illnesses.

The centre offers advanced intensive care supported by Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), specialised ICU protocols and a multidisciplinary team of intensivists, pulmonologists and critical care specialists, complemented by continuous monitoring and rehabilitation services.

Dr. Abhishek Sharma, Facility Director, Fortis Escorts Hospital, Faridabad, said, “The launch of the Fortis Cancer Institute, the Institute of Neurosciences, and the Centre of Excellence in Critical Care & ECMO reflects our commitment to creating a future-ready healthcare ecosystem where advanced technology, clinical excellence, and collaborative care converge."

"By bringing these capabilities together on a single platform, we are enhancing access to highly specialized treatment, improving clinical outcomes, and ensuring that patients across the region receive world-class care closer to home," added Dr. Sharma.
