Max Smart Super Speciality Hospital, Saket, has inaugurated a new 400-bed tower, marking a major expansion of its tertiary and quaternary healthcare capacity in Delhi-NCR.
The new facility was inaugurated by Union Home Minister and Minister of Cooperation Amit Shah, in the presence of Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, who attended as Guest of Honour.
Delhi Health and Family Welfare, Transport and Information Technology Minister Dr Pankaj Kumar Singh and South Delhi MP Ramvir Singh Bidhuri also attended the inauguration.
With the expansion, Max Hospital, Saket will have a total capacity of approximately 1,200 beds, making it the largest private hospital in Delhi by bed capacity, according to Max Healthcare. The hospital offers tertiary and quaternary care across 22+ specialties.
The new tower is equipped with advanced medical technologies, including the Da Vinci Xi Surgical Robot and Mako Total Knee Replacement Robot, aimed at supporting precision-driven and minimally invasive procedures.
The expansion strengthens Max Saket’s role within Max Healthcare’s integrated healthcare and medical education ecosystem, which has more than 42,000 employees.
Max Healthcare said it provided free treatment worth Rs. 244 crore to 3.60 lakh patients during the last year as part of its commitment to expanding access to healthcare. Through the Max Institute of Medical Sciences, the organisation has also supported 1.62 lakh students through higher education, training and professional learning programmes.
In the last financial year, Max Healthcare treated more than 40 lakh patients from over 800 cities and 180+ countries, including patients seeking specialised and advanced medical care.
Abhay Soi, Chairman and Managing Director, Max Healthcare Institute Limited, said the new facility combines advanced technology, infrastructure and clinical expertise to deliver specialised care to patients in India and overseas.
The expansion is expected to further strengthen Max Healthcare’s presence in Delhi-NCR while increasing access to advanced clinical services and minimally invasive procedures.
