Aster DM Quality Care Limited, formerly Aster DM Healthcare, has approved a Rs. 134.4 crore expansion of its KIMSHEALTH Hospital in Trivandrum, Kerala, through its material subsidiary KIMS Health Care Management Limited (KHML).

The expansion involves construction of a new hospital block and optimization of existing facilities. The project will increase the hospital’s capacity by approximately 184 beds, taking the total from around 795 beds to 979 beds.

The hospital is currently operating at approximately 75% occupancy, with around 596 beds occupied during FY26. 

The company said the expansion is aimed at addressing space constraints, expanding key specialties, enhancing patient experience and strengthening healthcare infrastructure in Trivandrum.

The additional capacity is targeted to become operational on or before May 2028. The estimated project cost of Rs. 134.4 crore will be funded through a mix of 70% debt and 30% equity.

The board of KHML approved the expansion on August 31, 2026. The disclosure was made by Aster DM Quality Care under Regulation 30 of the SEBI Listing Obligations and Disclosure Requirements Regulations, 2015.
