Could you take us through your journey since starting out in August 2021?

In India, mental health is an issue that is of the least concern for people. During our research, while working on Lissun, we got to see and understand how limited knowledge did people have regarding mental wellness, and even after so many years there is still stigma and a fear of judgement in their minds. It is difficult for people to find the right kind of specialist that can address their mental and emotional issues and provide them personal and right kind of support. We understood that we had to make sure our platform provided that kind of service to the people.

Since our start in August 2021, we have helped thousands of individuals and their families live a better and more fulfilling lives. We have a highly qualified team of professionals, who work consistently to provide people the comfort and space to open up regarding their problems.

Mental health came into focus with the onset of Covid-19. How alarming is the situation and what is your focus?

Mental health has always been something that we like to talk about on the sidelines but the onset of Covid-19 has made us understand how important it is to focus on mental health. Statistics reveal that almost 20% Indians suffer from some or the other kind of mental health issue since the start of the pandemic. Covid-19 has simply made us see how bad and neglected the situation was before, and the urgency required to address this issue.

Lissun is your end to end emotional and mental wellness platform. It is changing that situation by providing comprehensive wellness programmes, in-house quality therapists, access to user communities, self-help and virtural tools powered by AI and machine learning. This is done via various platforms such as app, website, phone support, and clinics.

People refrain from opening up on mental issues due to stigma. How is Lissun addressing the issue?
