Apollo Hospitals was conferred the prestigious Waterfalls Global Award in recognition of services rendered to humanity during the pandemic period. The Waterfalls Global Award is a global initiative honouring health organisations and medical professionals around the world who faced frontline adversity during humanitarian missions.

The Award was launched by the UAE in November 2021 under the directives of Sheikh Mohamed. Apollo Hospitals is one of just 15 winners from around the world selected from a total of 300 participants who were nominated for the award with 78 shortlisted.

The Waterfalls Global Award is UAE’s contribution to honouring frontliners who sacrifice and play a vital role providing humanitarian services for the sake of protecting communities and their safety, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The winners including Dr K Hariprasad, President, Apollo Hospitals Group were honoured with the award by UAE President, His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan at Qasr Al Bahr Majlis.

The award reiterates the fact that healthcare delivery is a shared responsibility beyond geographical boundaries.
