Arihant Innochem launches state-of-the-art research & innovation centre in Navi Mumbai

The new facility aims to accelerate formulation science and application-led research across pharma, biopharma, nutraceuticals, personal care, and home care segments

Arihant Innochem has launched a major push into in-house innovation with the inauguration of its state-of-the-art Research and Innovation Centre in Navi Mumbai on June 2, 2026.
 
Positioned as a strategic leap beyond distribution into deep scientific development, the new facility aims to accelerate formulation science and application-led research across pharma, biopharma, nutraceuticals, personal care, and home care segments.
 
The inauguration drew senior leadership and global principals from across the chemical and excipients ecosystem, including The Lubrizol Corporation, Shin-Etsu Chemical Co. Ltd., Asahi Kasei Corporation, MEGGLE Excipients, Chemische Fabrik Budenheim KG.
 
Also were there representatives from Jungbunzlauer Suisse AG, Pharmatrans Sanaq AG, SEQENS SAS, Sanyo Chemical Industries, Ltd., YungZip Chemical IND. CO., LTD, Freund Corporation, Pfanstiehl, Inc., and CBC Co., Ltd.. Delegates travelled from Japan, Switzerland, France, and Taiwan for the occasion.
 
The centre was formally inaugurated by Founder and Managing Director Jinesh Shah, who framed the moment as a defining step in the company’s evolution, calling it “a milestone achievement in Arihant’s scientific journey". 
 
He highlighted the company’s core philosophy, stating: “Our values, Trust, Quality, and Commitment, have always guided Arihant Innochem. With excipients taking the centre stage, this is the right time to establish Arihant’s own lab where newer ideas can be explored and concepts transformed into solutions.”
 
The ceremony opened with a traditional lamp-lighting and invocation, setting a ceremonial tone before shifting into a showcase of scientific intent.
 
Radhika Thakkar, Head – Business Development, delivered the welcome address, followed by Chitra Shah, Head – Technical, who spoke about the journey of establishing the lab and the rising importance of innovation in the excipient sector. 
 
Sameer Padhye, Manager – Technical Services, outlined the centre’s technical capabilities and long-term roadmap, positioning it as a platform for applied research and future development.
 
With the launch of the Research and Innovation Centre, Arihant Innochem signals a clear shift toward science-led growth, reinforcing its ambition to deepen partnerships with global principals and customers while strengthening its position in the evolving excipients landscape.
