Bristol Myers Squibb inaugurates new US$100 million facility in Hyderabad

The facility will accommodate over 1,500 employees

Bristol Myers Squibb has inaugurated a new facility in Hyderabad, marking a significant expansion of the biopharmaceutical company’s global drug development, IT, and digital capabilities.

The facility is expected to accommodate over 1,500 employees and represents an investment of over US$ 100 million.

Minister for IT and Industries, D Sridhar Babu, officially opened the facility in the presence of CEO Christopher Boerner, Chief Digital and Technology Officer Greg Meyers, and other dignitaries. In a statement, Bristol Myers Squibb highlighted the strategic importance of the facility, emphasising its role in fostering innovation and providing opportunities for the local talent pool to contribute to cutting-edge research and development.

Babu expressed pride in the partnership with Bristol Myers Squibb, noting the facility’s significance in enhancing Telangana’s scientific and technological landscape. CEO Christopher Boerner emphasised that the new innovation hub in Hyderabad would accelerate drug development efforts and bolster the company’s digital capabilities, positioning it at the forefront of scientific innovation.
