Cipla Limited announced that it has been ranked 1st in the Pharmaceuticals & Healthcare Sector and 5th in the Top 50 Most Sustainable Companies at the 3rd edition of BW India’s Most Sustainable Companies Awards 2022-23.

This recognition acknowledges Cipla’s efforts in the areas of Environment Social and Governance, encompassing all three pillars of sustainability.

The company is actively working towards important ESG goals, such as achieving water and carbon neutrality, zero waste to landfill, and prioritizing the well-being of employees and partners in its manufacturing operations.

In line with its supply chain sustainability, Cipla has implemented a sustainable supply chain policy and code of conduct for suppliers, emphasizing the need for adherence to environmental and social standards. Furthermore, the company is exploring innovative approaches to potentially minimize or eliminate the need for costly animal or human bio studies.
