With India stepping up its ambitions to strengthen its position in the global pharmaceutical manufacturing landscape, CPHI India and PMEC India 2026 are set to bring the industry’s key stakeholders under one umbrella from November 23–26, across two specialised venues in Delhi-NCR.

Organised by Informa Markets in India, the twin exhibitions are expected to attract more than 50,000 pharmaceutical professionals and visitors, feature over 2,000 exhibitorsand draw participation from more than 120 countries. The expanded format will connect the pharmaceutical ingredients, contract manufacturing, machinery and technology segments, creating opportunities for business partnerships, sourcing and industry collaboration.

CPHI India will be held from November 23–25 at IICC, Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, while PMEC India will take place from November 24–26 at IEML, Greater Noida. Together, the exhibitions will offer a comprehensive view of the pharmaceutical value chain, from ingredients and formulations to production equipment and advanced manufacturing technologies.

CPHI India will showcase active pharmaceutical ingredients (APIs), finished dosage formulations, excipients, natural extracts, fine chemicals, intermediates and contract development and manufacturing organisations (CDMOs). PMEC India, meanwhile, will focus on pharmaceutical machinery, equipment, packaging, laboratory and analytical systems, cleanroom technology and manufacturing solutions.

The exhibitions will bring together manufacturers, suppliers, research and development professionals, procurement teams and technology providers to explore emerging solutions and business opportunities across domestic and international markets.

Dedicated initiatives such as the Connections Programme will facilitate curated, pre-arranged meetings between eligible buyers and exhibitors, while the Startup Market package will give eligible businesses an opportunity to showcase innovations and engage with prospective customers and partners.

For the first time, CPHI India and PMEC India will operate from separate venues, with arrangements designed to ensure a seamless visitor experience across both exhibitions.

A single visitor badge will provide access to both events, supported by complimentary shuttle services connecting IICC, Yashobhoomi, Dwarka, and IEML, Greater Noida. The integrated access arrangement is intended to help visitors navigate both exhibitions and engage with the full spectrum of pharmaceutical ingredients, manufacturing capabilities and production technologies.

India's pharmaceutical industry, which recorded an annual turnover of Rs 4.72 lakh crore in FY2024–25, ranks third globally by production volume. With more than 3,000 companies and 10,500 manufacturing units, the sector has developed a broad industrial ecosystem spanning APIs, formulations, contract manufacturing, research, packaging and pharmaceutical production technologies.

The country's pharmaceutical exports reached approximately USD 30.5 billion in FY2024–25, registering year-on-year growth of 9.4% and reaching 191 countries. Nearly half of these exports were directed towards highly regulated markets, including the United States and Europe. Meanwhile, India's domestic pharmaceutical market, currently estimated at around USD 60 billion, is projected to grow to approximately USD 130 billion by 2030.

As global pharmaceutical supply chains evolve and quality requirements become increasingly demanding, the industry's next phase of growth will depend on stronger API capabilities, advanced formulations, manufacturing efficiency, automation, packaging innovation, sophisticated laboratory systems and robust quality assurance.

Against this backdrop, CPHI India and PMEC India 2026 will provide industry stakeholders with an opportunity to evaluate new technologies, identify manufacturing solutions and explore partnerships that can strengthen India's competitiveness in global markets.

Beyond the exhibition floor, the events will feature discussions on market developments, regulatory frameworks, pharmaceutical manufacturing, outsourcing, emerging technologies, supply chains, sustainability and biopharma, including cell and gene therapies.

A key highlight will be Pharma Connect, a two-day conference scheduled for November 23–24, featuring industry leaders including Dr. Declan Byrne of the European Directorate for the Quality of Medicines & HealthCare (EDQM), Devender Kumar Singh of Pfizer Inc., and Vaibhavi Shah and Ankur Shah of Invengene.

The conference will examine India's ambition to expand its API manufacturing capabilities, the growing opportunities in the CDMO sector and emerging developments in cell and gene therapy.

Other industry engagement initiatives will include the India Pharma Awards 2026, Pharma Leadership Exchange and Women in Pharma at CPHI India, alongside a CXO Roundtable and Regulators Panel Discussion at PMEC India. Collectively, these platforms will bring business leaders, manufacturers, suppliers and technology providers together for discussions on the opportunities and challenges shaping the sector.

The exhibitor lineup reflects the breadth of India's pharmaceutical ecosystem. Key participants at CPHI India include IMCD India Pvt Ltd (Signet), Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Ltd, Akums Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Ltd, Morepen Laboratories Limited and Hetero Labs Limited.

At PMEC India, leading exhibitors include Fette Compacting Machinery India Private Limited, ACG Pam Pharma Technologies Pvt. Ltd., Parle Global Technologies Pvt. Ltd., IMA-PG India Pvt. Ltd. and Ace Technologies & Packaging Systems Pvt. Ltd.

The events are also backed by association partners including OPPI, IPEC India, BDMAI, GPMA and KDPMA, representing stakeholders across the pharmaceutical value chain.

Yogesh Mudras, Managing Director, Informa Markets in India, said: "India’s pharmaceutical industry is strengthening its manufacturing capabilities and global competitiveness. Government data shows that the pharmaceutical drugs PLI scheme generated approximately 1.15 lakh jobs by March 2026, reflecting the sector’s manufacturing potential.

"With investment in APIs, formulations, automation and quality systems becoming increasingly important, CPHI India and PMEC India 2026 will connect manufacturers, ingredient suppliers, CDMOs and technology providers through specialised platforms and targeted business interactions.

"This year, the dual-venue expanded structure of the expos is designed to further help industry stakeholders explore partnerships, identify solutions and pursue new business opportunities across the pharmaceutical value chain in a focused manner.”
