Fermenta Biotech Limited reported strong operational performance in FY26, with consolidated revenue excluding real estate income rising 26% year-on-year to Rs. 538.4 crore and EBITDA surging 44% to Rs. 120 crore, driven by robust growth in its Vitamin D3 Human Nutrition business.

On a consolidated basis including real estate income, the company posted revenue of Rs. 547.8 crore for FY26, up 14% from the previous year. EBITDA stood at Rs. 122.2 crore, marginally higher by 0.5%, while profit after tax (PAT) declined 8% to Rs. 70.3 crore. The decline was primarily due to a high base in FY25, which included one-time real estate value-unlocking income of Rs. 44.6 crore compared to Rs. 1.6 crore in FY26.

During FY26, the Human Nutrition segment generated revenue of Rs. 292.7 crore, up 28%, while Animal Nutrition revenue increased 32% to Rs. 108.5 crore. Green Chemistry Solutions recorded the highest growth, with revenue more than doubling to Rs. 15.9 crore from Rs. 7 crore in FY25, supported by new customer acquisitions.

Geographically, India contributed 39% of revenue, Europe 30%, North America 13%, and other regions 18%, highlighting the company's diversified global footprint.

Prashant Nagre, Managing Director, Fermenta Biotech said, “Our sustained efforts over the years in expanding the enzymes portfolio and their application & customer base have started yielding initial results. We are confident of continuing to expand & grow this portfolio.”

“While human nutrition volumes grew by 43% in FY25 over FY24, we have further seen the volumes grow by 21% in FY26 over FY25. Our sustained volume momentum, combined with improving margins, positions Fermenta well for continued value creation,” Nagre added.

The company plans to commercialise VITADEE Green and Vitamin D3 100 SD in FY27, while its ongoing Dahej expansion project will add commercial-scale manufacturing capacity for plant-based Vitamin D3 and new Vitamin D3 derivatives, strengthening its position in the global nutrition ingredients market.
