Maiva Pharma has inaugurated its new manufacturing facility at Shoolagiri, Tamil Nadu, marking a major milestone in the company's expansion strategy.

As a leading Contract Manufacturing Organization (CMO) and Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO), Maiva Pharma is focused on sterile injectables.

The newly commissioned facility strengthens Maiva Pharma's capabilities in the development and manufacturing of generic and complex sterile injectable products, reinforcing its position as a partner to pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies worldwide.

Built on a 22-acre site, the facility has been designed with advanced manufacturing technologies, flexible production infrastructure, and robust quality systems to meet evolving global market requirements.

Upon full development, the site will house six manufacturing lines capable of producing a wide range of sterile injectable dosage forms, including vials, pre-filled syringes (PFS), cartridges, suspension products, and lyophilized formulations.

As part of its Phase I expansion, Maiva Pharma has commissioned three dedicated production lines comprising a high-speed vial filling line, an integrated pre-filled syringe and cartridge line, and a lyophilization line.

The facility also includes advanced Quality Control chemical laboratories and state-of-the-art microbiology laboratories to support comprehensive in-house analytical testing and quality assurance.

Dr. Bhaskar Krishna, Managing Director and CEO of Maiva Pharma, said, “The inauguration of our Shoolagiri facility represents a major step in Maiva Pharma’s journey to become a globally preferred partner in sterile injectables manufacturing.”

“With advanced manufacturing technologies, expanded capacity, and diversified delivery system capabilities, we are well-positioned to support our customers’ evolving needs and accelerate access to high-quality injectable therapies worldwide,” added Dr. Krishna.
