Mankind Pharma has entered into an exclusive in-licensing and marketing agreement with Chongqing Chenan Biopharmaceutical Co., Ltd., China, to commercialise Insulin Degludec and Insulin Degludec + Aspart Combination in India.

The partnership strengthens Mankind Pharma’s diabetes care and injectable portfolio, expanding its range of advanced insulin therapies for the Indian market.

Atish Majumdar, Senior President – Sales and Marketing, Mankind Pharma, said China is emerging as an important hub for innovative biopharmaceutical assets and that the company remains focused on expanding its in-licensing pipeline from the country.

The latest agreement builds on Mankind Pharma’s existing partnerships for Insulin Aspart and Insulin Degludec and supports its strategy of leveraging global innovation through strategic collaborations and in-licensing.

The company said the partnership will help broaden access to advanced diabetes treatments while further strengthening its position in India's injectable diabetes segment.
