With an aim to improve the quality of medical care via education, Wockhardt Hospitals, Mira Road has taken a very important step by launching an ongoing campaign to train primary care family physicians. The topics involved will be regarding various specialty related scenarios which they face on a day to day basis such as diabetology, cardiac, orthopaedic, neurology, etc.

Program will cover latest updates and treatment modalities which the family physicians can manage at their primary level. Idea is to increase the quality of care at the primary level. The program is launched in association with local family physician associations.

Training doctors is crucial for ensuring better access to healthcare services nationwide and achieving positive patient outcomes. It is imperative to update medical professionals in order to provide consistent healthcare services to both urban and rural populations.

“Due to revolutionary changes happening in the medical field, there is a growing demand for professionally trained doctors who possess expertise, skill, and updated knowledge in newer techniques. This surge in demand is a result of the increasing population and the corresponding need for medical care even at the primary level. Our program, PRAYAAS, is dedicated to improving the quality of medical care through education and awareness. We intend to train all family physicians of Mira Road, Bhayandar and then move on to neighbouring territories like Dahisar, Borivali, Kandivali, Vasai, Virar, etc. The campaign emphasizes the importance of more accurate diagnosis, timely treatment & care, and sound advice as the fundamental elements of success. This training includes not only theoretical knowledge but also practical skills such as communication and case-solving. Through initiatives like Prayaas, Wockhardt Hospitals, Mira Road aims to upgrade the skills of family physicians and inturn benefit the society. Furthermore, training doctors plays a vital role in addressing healthcare disparities. We take pride in delivering the best of services to the patients and encourage those around us to do so. This move has been initiated by the hospital for the “continuous medical education of family physicians leading to better and evolved healthcare in the society” concluded Dr. Pankaj Dhamija, Centre Head, Wockhardt Hospitals, Mira Road.
