Vivek V. Kamath has tendered his resignation as Managing Director of Abbott India Limited with effect from March 18, 2024, to pursue other opportunities outside the company, the company told the stock exchange.

Kamath has over three decades of extensive and diverse experience in the healthcare sector, in pharmaceuticals, over-the-counter (OTC) products, and diagnostics.

Prior to his current position, he served as the General Manager of the Specialty Care division at Abbott Healthcare Private Limited. Before joining Abbott, he contributed to the success of organisations such as MSD Pharmaceuticals, Roche Diagnostics (India), Novartis (Singapore), Ranbaxy, Pfizer (India), Fulford (India), Wockhardt and Johnson & Johnson.
