The Board of Directors of Akums Drugs and Pharmaceuticals Limited in its meeting has approved the appointment of Amrut Medhekar as Chief Executive Officer - CDMO Business with effect from August 24, 2024.

Medhekar will report to Sanjeev Jain and Sandeep Jain, Managing Directors of the company. He brings over 27+ years of rich pharmaceutical experience. He has extensive experience in strategic planning, profit & loss management, building a highly engaging & productive team, digitization and budgetary control.

Prior to thie new role, Medhekar worked with Wockhardt for more than two years as the President of India Business. Previously, he worked with Zydus Group for more than thirteen years. He was also associated with Novartis, JK Tyre and Industries, LifeMedicare Biotech, Torrent Pharmaceuticals, and Ranbaxy. He holds a Master’s in Business Administration in Marketing (MBA) from Jiwaji University.
