Biocon Limited has appointed Vishal Nayyar as Head - Supply Chain Management and Amit Kaptain as Head Commercials - API from March 4, 2024.

Nayyar has completed his MBA in materials management from Pune University and has a degree in computer science. He has over 32 years of experience in supply chain and general management in the pharmaceutical industry.

Prior to this, Vishal has held the position of Head – Global Supply Chain at Aurore Life Sciences Pvt. Ltd., wherein he was responsible for the entire supply chain function, including planning, procurement, logistics, strategic sourcing and contract manufacturing. Further, he has also held positions at Strides Arcolab Ltd., Ind-Swift Ltd. and Medreich Ltd.

Amit Kaptain has completed his MBA in Marketing from NMIMS- Mumbai University and has also graduated in BSc-Chemistry. He has over 30 years of experience, including more than 10 years in diverse senior leadership roles with P&L responsibilities.

Prior to this, Amit was the CEO at Ami Lifesciences. Further, he has also worked with several organizations in India and globally, including Aurore Life Sciences, Dr. Reddy’s, Ranbaxy, Sun Pharma, Ranbaxy, Indus Chemical and E. Merck.
