Dr. Rajesh Bendre has been appointed as Vice President – Lab Operations at Torrent Diagnostics, bringing more than 26 years of experience across pathology, laboratory operations, technical leadership and diagnostic services.

In his new role, Dr. Bendre will focus on strengthening laboratory operations, advancing technical capabilities and supporting the continued growth of Torrent Diagnostics. 

His areas of expertise include clinical and analytical chemistry, hematopathology, molecular pathology, laboratory standardisation and the development of integrated laboratory systems.

Dr. Bendre has held several senior positions across India’s diagnostics and healthcare sector. 

His previous roles include National Technical Head & Chief Pathologist at Apollo Diagnostics; Chief Pathologist & Head of Laboratory at Neuberg Diagnostics; Chief Pathologist & Head of Laboratory Medicine & Blood Bank at Jaslok Hospital & Research Centre; Vice President – Technical Operations, Group at Metropolis Healthcare; Chief Pathologist & Head of Laboratory at Agilus Diagnostics Dr Phadke Labs; Chief Pathologist & Head of Laboratory & Blood Bank Services at Masina Hospital Trust; and Assistant Professor of Pathology at Somaiya Ayurvihar.

His career spans academic medicine, clinical pathology and large-scale laboratory management, with a progression into senior technical and operational leadership roles. 

At Torrent Diagnostics, his extensive experience is expected to support the company's efforts to strengthen diagnostic quality, laboratory systems and operational capabilities.
