GlaxoSmithKline Pharmaceuticals Limited has appointed Carson Dalton as Executive Vice President - Communications and Government Affairs in place of Ransom Dsouza as on 3rd March, 2025.

Carson brings with him over two decades of experience in Communications, Public Affairs, and Sustainability. Prior to joining GSK, he served as Senior Director at Coca-Cola India and Southwest Asia, where he delivered strong outcomes for the Public Affairs, Communications and Sustainability function for the operating unit.

Before joining Coca-Cola, Carson was the founding head of the Ola Mobility Institute (OMI), a corporate think-tank that is focused on new age Mobility like Electric Vehicles. He also spearheaded market access for Ola's ride hailing services.

Prior to this. Carson was Facebook's first head of communications in India and played a pivotal role in the long-term growth of WhatsApp and Instagram across the Indian sub-continent. Carson's experience spans the Telecom sector having earlier worked with British Telecom (BT) in India, London, and Singapore and Idea Cellular where he started the Public Relations function.

Carson began his career as a journalist for leading publications like the Indian Express. Mid-Day and JAM Magazine. He is a Postgraduate in Marketing & Finance from the Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies (SIMS), Pune.
