Alembic Pharmaceuticals Limited has elevated Karunanithi Ponnusamy to President – Animal Health Business, marking a significant leadership transition within the company’s growing animal healthcare division.

Based in Mumbai, Ponnusamy takes on the new role after spending more than two decades with Alembic Pharmaceuticals, underscoring the organisation’s confidence in his leadership capabilities and deep industry expertise. In his new capacity, he will lead the company’s animal health business with a focus on strengthening market presence, accelerating strategic growth, and enhancing operational excellence.

Ponnusamy joined Alembic Pharmaceuticals in 2003 as Vice President and has since played an instrumental role in driving business expansion and commercial growth across the organisation. Prior to joining Alembic, he served as Zonal Sales Manager at Wockhardt Ltd., where he gained extensive experience in sales and business leadership.

With over three decades of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, Ponnusamy’s elevation reflects his long-standing contribution to the sector and his continued commitment to advancing animal health and healthcare solutions.
