Cipla has appointed Sushrut Kulkarni as Global Chief – Integrated Product Development (IPD), entrusting him with the responsibility of leading the company's integrated product development strategy and strengthening its global research and development capabilities.

A pharmaceutical industry veteran with more than 25 years of experience, Kulkarni will oversee Cipla's integrated product development function, with a focus on accelerating innovation, enhancing product development efficiencies, and advancing the company's global R&D agenda.

Prior to joining Cipla, Kulkarni served as Global Head of Integrated Product Development Organisation at Dr. Reddy's Laboratories, where he led large-scale product development programmes and played a key role in expanding the company's global research and development portfolio.

Earlier in his career, he held senior leadership positions at Glenmark Pharmaceuticals and the Zydus Group, building extensive expertise across pharmaceutical product development, formulation sciences, regulatory affairs, project management, and the development of specialty and generic medicines.

His appointment comes as Cipla continues to strengthen its innovation pipeline and enhance its integrated product development capabilities to support growth across global markets.

With his extensive experience in research-led product development and portfolio management, Kulkarni is expected to play a key role in driving Cipla's next phase of innovation and delivering differentiated products for patients worldwide.
