The Ministry of Ayush marked World Homoeopathy Day 2026 with a national celebration at Vigyan Bhawan, placing strong emphasis on research, regulation, digital integration and institutional expansion to strengthen homoeopathy as an evidence-based healthcare system in India.

Held under the theme “Homoeopathy for Sustainable Health,” the event brought together policymakers, researchers, practitioners and students, while underscoring the government’s broader push to position homoeopathy as an accessible and patient-centric pillar of India’s healthcare ecosystem.

Addressing the gathering, Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Ayush and Minister of State for Health & Family Welfare Prataprao Jadhav said India’s homoeopathy sector is being strengthened through robust institutions, research bodies and regulatory support, with organisations such as CCRH, NCH and NIH helping build scientific credibility and public trust.

Ayush Secretary Vaidya Rajesh Kotecha highlighted the role of infrastructure investments and digital platforms such as Ayush Grid and HMIS, aimed at supporting evidence-based healthcare delivery and modernizing education and workforce training.

A major highlight of the event was the launch of several publications and digital initiatives, including a certification course on the Ayush Grid portal, AI-enabled knowledge dissemination content, IRINS integration, and a Hindi Shabdkosh website, alongside the release of the revamped CCRH newsletter and the latest issue of the Indian Journal of Research in Homoeopathy.

The ministry said the celebration reaffirms the government’s commitment to advancing homoeopathy through research, education, digital tools and public outreach, with the aim of expanding affordable and holistic healthcare access across the country.
