An outlay of Rs. 1,500 crore has been approved for strengthening/ up-gradation of these NIPERs for the period 2021-22 to 2025-26.
The selected 49 applications are from 33 companies. Out of these 33 companies, 13 are Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) besides some newly incorporated entities
The summit also saw the launch of two important reports- Multi-Regional Clinical Trials (MRCT) and Value of OTC in India
The aim is to strengthen industry-academia cooperation
Availability of drugs is being monitored by implementing a three-pronged strategy of supply chain management, demand side management, and affordability.
The Govt. launched the PLI scheme for bulk drugs with a financial outlay of Rs 6,940 crores across 53 APIs over 6 years.
The Department has been working continuously to ensure a stable long-term policy environment and reduce the compliance burden on the Industry.
