Sun Pharmaceutical Industries Limited’s public awareness initiative ‘Heart ke Liye 8 – Making India Heart Strong’ is witnessing strong nationwide engagement, amassing a total of 24.1 million views across digital platforms.

This includes 14.3 million views on YouTube and 9.8 million views on Meta platforms, reflecting a growing public conversation around preventive cardiovascular care.

Launched on February 26, 2026, the campaign aims to encourage individuals to adopt simple, everyday habits that support heart health. With cardiovascular diseases continuing to be a leading cause of mortality in India, the initiative underscores the importance of prevention and early lifestyle interventions.

The campaign film, now live across platforms including Tata 1mg, connected TV (CTV), and various news and gaming apps, centres around a relatable character—the “Heart-strong Man.” The character symbolises a proactive approach to heart health, driven by awareness, balance, and consistent daily choices rather than sporadic efforts.

At its core, ‘Heart ke Liye 8’ promotes eight essential pillars of cardiovascular well-being: healthier eating, regular physical activity, weight management, monitoring blood pressure, blood sugar and cholesterol levels, avoiding tobacco, routine health check-ups, stress management, and adequate sleep.

The campaign forms part of Sun Pharma’s broader ‘Making India Heart Strong’ initiative, which focuses on prevention, awareness, and preparedness. As part of this larger effort, the company has rolled out multiple on-ground and community programmes, including over 10,000 heart screening camps annually that have screened more than 1.2 lakh individuals.

Additionally, CPR training initiatives are equipping over 1.5 lakh people each year with life-saving skills, while patient education programmes are reaching more than 15 million individuals annually.
