Two major hospitals in Gujarat announce tie-up

Aashka Hospitals has entered into a non-binding agreement for its proposed tie-up with Vaidehi—Backbone hospital, Rajkot

Aashka Hospitals Limited and Vaidehi - Backbone Hospital, Rajkot have agreed to a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding ("MOU") regarding a proposed tie-up between the two Hospitals whereby the management and operations of Vaidehi-Backbone will be integrated with Aashka Hospitals in a phased manner. As part of the integration, Dr. Ankur Bhupendrakumar Pachani will be inducted as a member of the Board of Directors of Aashka Hospitals Limited.

Vaidehi - Backbone hospital is a 500-bed hospital spread over more than one lakh sq. ft. and provides state of the art facilities. The hospital is also home to India's largest capacity oxygen plants - PSA technology-based onsite oxygen generation system (GO 960) - 960 litres per minute generation capacity. The hospital has a total of 116 ICU beds and 384 non-ICU beds.

Bipin Shah, Chairman and Managing Director of Aashka Hospitals Limited said "I am truly delighted about the integration of Aashka Hospital and Vaidehi - Backbone. The said integration would benefit the patients of both regions as they will be able to access all tertiary facilities along with the best treatment and quality care under the expertise of qualified doctors and experienced management."

 Under the non-binding MOU, the proposed integration will be subject to necessary due diligence and execution of the definitive agreement and customary approvals. Once a definitive agreement is executed the parties will make an official announcement.
