UK-based digital mental health company Care ADHD has announced plans to open its first Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) clinic in India in Bengaluru this October, marking the beginning of its clinical expansion in the country. 

The move follows the inauguration of the company's 140-seat Global Capability Centre (GCC) in Bengaluru, which will serve as its global technology and innovation hub.

The GCC was inaugurated by Owen Richards, Deputy Head of Mission at the British Deputy High Commission Bengaluru, highlighting the company's long-term commitment to strengthening both healthcare delivery and technology capabilities in India.

Care ADHD, one of the United Kingdom's fastest-growing digital mental health companies and a trusted partner of the National Health Service (NHS), plans to introduce its evidence-based ADHD care model to Indian patients at a time when the condition remains significantly underdiagnosed and undertreated in the country. 

Globally, ADHD affects an estimated 5.6% to 7.6% of children and around 2.5% of adults. In India, studies indicate that the prevalence of adult ADHD ranges from 5.48% to 25.7%. However, the disorder is not officially recognised under the Rights of Persons with Disabilities (RPwD) Act, 2016, creating gaps in access to diagnosis, treatment and long-term support. 

The Bengaluru clinic will offer comprehensive ADHD services, including assessment, diagnosis, treatment planning and ongoing clinical care. These services will be supported by digital platforms developed by the company's engineering and product teams based in Bengaluru.

"Eleven months ago, we had a handful of desks in Bengaluru and a lot of ambition. Today we have a 140-desk centre that is central to how the entire company runs, and from October we will begin seeing patients here in India," said Mark Pattison, Chief Executive Officer, Care ADHD. He added that Bengaluru has become one of the company's two global homes, playing a pivotal role in building capabilities across the organisation.
