Aster MIMS Kottakal has a new wing for women and children

It has been built at a cost of Rs 19.5 crores through internal accruals of the Malabar Institute of Medical Sciences (MIMS)

Malabar Institute of Medical Sciences, a material subsidiary of Aster DM Healthcare Ltd has extended its facility and launched Aster MIMS Women and Children Block, at Aster MIMS Kottakal.

Aster MIMS Women and Children Block has 75 beds with state-of-the-art facilities located at Changuvetty, Kottakal P.O Malappuram, Kerala. This shall be first exclusive and dedicated Women and Children Hospital of Aster in Kerala.

An investment of Rs. 19.5 crores have been invested through internal accruals of Malabar Institute of Medical Sciences The new block is built on a leasehold land located adjacent to the main hospital block.

Aster MIMS Kottakal, capacity utilization is above 75% during the last 24 months and above 83% in the last 8 months.

Last month the company had stated that it plans to add 411 beds to its existing capacity of 3,757 beds in India. A total of 60 beds to be added in Kolhapur, 275 beds in Bengaluru and 75 beds in Kottakal. The estimated investment would be Rs 235 crores.

The company had posted a consolidated net profit of Rs 59.60 crores for the quarter ended June 30, 2021. Revenue from operations rose to Rs 2,372 crores in the quarter.
