Quality Care India Ltd (QCIL), a leading healthcare platform in India, has secured the Letter of Acceptance (LoA) to develop a 350+ bed multi-specialty CARE Hospital in Nagpur, a landmark move aimed at strengthening healthcare infrastructure in Maharashtra and Central India.
The LoA was exchanged between MAHA-METRO and QCIL in the presence of Shri Devendra Fadnavis, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, Nitin Gadkari, Union Minister, and Dr Pawan Kumar, CEO of CARE Hospitals.
The hospital will be built on MAHA-METRO land near Kasturchand Park Metro Station, a major urban and transit hub. QCIL plans to invest approximately ₹600 crore in the project, creating a state-of-the-art healthcare facility to serve Nagpur and surrounding regions.
The new hospital will offer advanced tertiary and quaternary care, including specialized centers for cardiac sciences, oncology, gastroenterology, trauma care, and neurosciences, significantly improving access to high-quality healthcare in the Vidarbha region.
The facility is expected to become operational in phases and generate 1,500+ direct and indirect jobs, further positioning Vidarbha as a regional healthcare destination.
Commenting on the development, Varun Khanna, Group Managing Director, QCIL, said: “This project reflects the growing importance of structured public–private partnerships in building healthcare systems that are accessible, integrated, and sustainable.
"By aligning healthcare infrastructure with urban development, we can create scalable models that deliver high-quality care beyond metros. For cities like Nagpur, such collaborations are critical to strengthening regional healthcare capacity and addressing the long-term needs of Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets.”
Dr Pawan Kumar, CEO, CARE Hospitals, added: "Public–private collaboration is essential to expanding organised healthcare in a way that is resilient and responsive to community needs. Our investment in Nagpur represents a deliberate step towards building multi-speciality capacity in Tier 2 cities through partnership-led development.
"This hospital will be designed to deliver high clinical standards while contributing meaningfully to the city’s social and economic infrastructure."
