Cyrix Healthcare, a portfolio company of Somerset Indus Capital Partners Fund III, has completed the acquisition of the MedTech Solutions business of Blue Star Engineering & Electronics Ltd. (Blue Star E&E), effective September 1, 2026. Financial terms of the transaction were not disclosed.

The acquisition strengthens Cyrix’s capabilities across medical imaging, equipment sales, installation, maintenance, repairs, refurbishment and lifecycle management, while adding Blue Star E&E’s established customer relationships, experienced professionals and expertise in multi-brand CT and MRI systems.

The transaction is part of Cyrix Healthcare’s broader strategy to expand its Total MedTech Management platform through organic growth and strategic mergers and acquisitions. The company aims to build a comprehensive MedTech management ecosystem across India, the Middle East and Africa.

Blue Star E&E’s MedTech Solutions team has experience across more than 250 CT and MRI installations, covering sales, clinical applications, installation, maintenance, repairs and equipment management. Its addition is expected to deepen Cyrix’s capabilities across the medical imaging lifecycle.

The acquisition will also strengthen AURUM, Cyrix’s refurbished medical equipment business, particularly in refurbished CT and MRI systems. The combined platform will provide healthcare providers with greater access to refurbished equipment, spare parts and accessories, supported by Cyrix’s warehouse and service network across India.

Existing Blue Star E&E MedTech Solutions customers will continue to be supported by the same teams following the acquisition, with the business now operating as part of Cyrix Healthcare.

Cyrix currently has more than 1,200 biomedical engineers and technical professionals, expertise across over 6,000 models of medical technologies, and responsibility for more than 650,000 medical devices supporting over 25,000 healthcare facilities.

Mayur Sirdesai, Co-Founding Partner, Somerset Indus Capital Partners, said strategic M&A is an important lever for building scale and strengthening Cyrix’s healthcare capabilities. He added that the acquisition of Blue Star E&E’s MedTech Solutions business adds established medical imaging capabilities to Cyrix’s broader Total MedTech Management offering.

Ajith Kumar S, Co-Founder & Executive Director, Cyrix Healthcare, said the company was “privileged to carry forward” a business that has earned the trust of India’s healthcare community over several decades, adding that the acquisition strengthens its imaging capabilities and advances its vision of ensuring “healthy healthcare technologies for a healthier India.”

Joy K John, Co-Founder & Executive Director, Cyrix Healthcare, said the combination will give healthcare providers access to deeper CT and MRI expertise, broader imaging and refurbishment capabilities, stronger service resources and a wider MedTech platform through a single partner.
