Wadi Surgicals, India’s leading nitrile glove manufacturing company, welcomed M. Venkaiah Naidu, Former Vice President of India, toured its state-of-the-art production facility at the Andhra Pradesh MedTech Zone (AMTZ).
Dr Jitendra Sharma, Founder & CEO, AMTZ Visakhapatnam was present on the occasion.
As per the company, this visit underscored its pivotal role in bolstering India's self-reliance in healthcare manufacturing.
The Former Vice President expressed satisfaction with the progress AMTZ, Visakhapatnam, has made in driving the mission to make India self-reliant in medical consumables and developing innovative medical technology products, as envisioned when he laid the foundation stone for the zone with the Chief Minister of Andhara Pradesh, N. Chandrababu Naidu about a decade ago.
He was briefed on the plant's technical milestones; it is currently scaling toward a production capacity of nearly 3 million gloves per day.
