New 800 Series GI scopes combine advanced imaging, enhanced maneuverability and therapeutic capabilities for complex gastrointestinal procedures
FUJIFILM India has expanded its ELUXEO 8000 xportfolio with the launch of its next-generation therapeutic gastroscopes at Endocon 2026, strengthening its offering for advanced gastrointestinal diagnosis and minimally invasive treatment.
The launch comes as India faces a growing burden of gastrointestinal diseases, including digestive disorders and gastrointestinal cancers, increasing the need for early diagnosis and minimally invasive therapeutic interventions.
The latest addition to the portfolio is designed to support gastroenterologists performing complex procedures by combining high-quality imaging, enhanced maneuverability and workflow-focused features.
The new-generation therapeutic GI scopes include gastroscopes, colonoscopes, duodenoscopes and advanced therapeutic gastroscopes for third-space procedures.
Equipped with high-sensitivity CMOS imaging, enhanced bending capability and a dedicated therapeutic instrument channel, the scopes are designed to provide improved access to difficult-to-reach anatomical areas and greater control during therapeutic procedures.
FUJIFILM said its slim therapeutic model is designed to enable physicians to operate in narrower anatomical spaces while maintaining therapeutic functionality.
The new therapeutic scopes complement the ELUXEO 8000 Endoscopy System, which combines 4K-ready imaging with Fujifilm's image-enhancement technologies to provide brighter and sharper visualisation during diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.
The platform also features Amber-red Color Imaging (ACI), an observation mode designed to help clinicians identify subtle colour differences associated with blood and support visualisation during therapeutic procedures.
The company said compatibility across its endoscopy portfolio and an integrated workflow are intended to help healthcare providers improve procedural efficiency while maintaining clinical standards in busy endoscopy environments.
Koji Wada, Managing Director, FUJIFILM India, said, “India's gastroenterology landscape is evolving rapidly, with increasing demand for technologies that support both early diagnosis and advanced minimally invasive treatment.”
“The expansion of our ELUXEO 8000 portfolio reflects FUJIFILM India's commitment to equipping healthcare professionals with solutions that combine innovation, ease of use and clinical confidence. Guided by our Group Purpose of 'Giving our world more smiles,' we remain focused on bringing advanced healthcare technologies closer to clinicians and patients across India,” added Wada.
Dheeraj Chaudhri, Head – Endoscopy Systems Division, FUJIFILM India, said, “The new therapeutic 800 series future generation GI scopes includes gastroscopes, colonoscopes, Duodenoscopes and advance therapeutic scopes designed for clinicians for third space procedures, these latest scopes is expected to bring paradigm shift in the patient care with their unique features. We are glad to bring this innovation to India at the early.”
“Together with the ELUXEO 8000 platform, these innovations will help simplify workflows and support better clinical outcomes, allowing gastroenterologists to focus on delivering the best possible care for their patients,” added Chaudhri.
